The OPTI-UP Toolkit supports early-stage public transport planning by helping you identify which optimisation approach may best fit your city or service area.
You will answer a structured questionnaire about your local context, transport system and planning priorities. For each question, use the best available data. Exact values are useful, but approximate categories are acceptable where detailed data is not available.
Some questions allow both category selection and slider input. If you use both, the last option you interact with will be saved as your answer.
Required questions are needed to generate a recommendation. Optional questions improve the quality of the result. You can skip optional questions by selecting Finish & set strategy weights, but the recommendation may be less precise.
At the end of questionnaire, you will set strategy weights. These weights tell the toolkit which planning priorities matter most for your city and influence the final recommendation.
The result is not a final transport plan. It is an initial recommendation intended to support discussion, prioritisation and further technical analysis.
